St. Francis High School is so happy to welcome our new Head Track Coach Mr. Christoper P Mack.
Coach Mack is a 38-year professional veteran head coach of elite track & field programs, such as New Image Training Group, Serra Gardena High School, Chaminade College Prep High School, and Cathedral College Prep High School, where he served for the past nine seasons. His athletes experienced unprecedented success under his tutelage; Isaiah Jewett, USA 800m Olympian (Tokyo 2020). His athletes have podium finishes at the USATF Junior Olympics, USATF Youth Outdoor Championships, AAU Junior Olympics, and National Indoor Championships, including the Simplot Games. Coach Chris has assisted to date (65) collegiate student-athletes with athletic scholarships to USC, UCLA, Houston, Oregon, and MIT to name a few.
In 2022, Coach Chris’ leadership guided Cathedral to their first CIF Southern Section Div 3 Boys Track & Field Championship title and the school’s first CIF State California 4x400m Championship win, after making the CA State Championship podium four other times in the 4x400m relay. Coach Chris’ Cathedral team was the first team to win four Nike NSAF National Championship Relays at the 2022 Nike NSAF Outdoor Nationals; and made the Track & Field News All-American Team.
Coach Chris Mack has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from Byran University. He is a World Athletics Level 5 & USATF Level 3 Elite Sprints & Hurdles Coach, NASM Certified Professional Personal Fitness Trainer, Performance Enhancement Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and a Certified Massage therapist. Coach Chris is also a Lecturer for the LA84 Foundation, USATF Coaching Education programs, and a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance.
We are excited for Coach Chris Mack to join our St. Francis Coaching Staff. We believe the St. Francis Community will benefit from his character and integrity; both as an elite coach and as a mentor to our young man.
