The basketball team is extremely excited for this upcoming basketball season. The St. Francis Golden Knight basketball team is extremly excited to compete again for a top spot in the always difficult Mission League. The last two seasons the Golden Knights were able to get 4th place and secure an automatic playoff birth; and will look to compete in the top 3 again this season.The Golden Knights basketball fans will see some familiar faces in the lineup but also some new faces who will be leading a fantastic youth movement that will be on the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams this season.

We will never guarantee our fans that we will win every game, but you can always see defense, effort and sportsmanship that follow the Franciscan virtues every single game. As always, the Golden Knights main Philosophy is TeamFirst. There won’t be any one player who will lead the team this season, but a group of young men playing together to achieve TEAM goals.

One thing the team strives to do each year is to play as hard as they can while always putting fourth class and character. If you haven’t come to a basketball game in the past couple seasons, we invite you to make your way up to Fr. Alphonsus O'Connor Memorial Gymnasiumfor some exciting basketball games. Come see our student section called “The Dungeon” who gives the basketball team a true home court advantage.

We are excited for the 2023-2024 basketball season and appreciate all the support. We cannot wait to honor and amazing group of seniors in our class of 2024.
